The American Federation of Arts organizes a vast array of art exhibitions that travel all over the globe. Works for the traveling exhibitions are borrowed from the collections of museums, universities, corporations, artists, and collectors, which allows institutions that could otherwise not afford the same quality and scope of art, to present world-class exhibitions to their patrons. By touring art exhibitions, publishing exhibition catalogues featuring important scholarly research, and developing educational programs, the American Federation of Arts provides greater access to art. Exhibitions have included For America: Paintings from the National Academy of Design, Buddha and Shiva, Lotus and Dragon: Masterworks from the Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller 3rd Collection at Asia Society, and Henry Moore: Surrealism to Humanism.
