Fine-Tuning Fine Arts Skills

Art Students League of New York

The Art Students League of New York was founded in 1875 by students who broke away from the National Academy of Design. The League's independent values are still deeply aligned with this founding moment, which is demonstrated by their dedication to providing students with an education that is non-conforming and unrestrained by traditional dogma. The League encourages its students of all ages to pursue unconventional styles through affordable classes and workshops taught by a range of successful artists. All instructors are internationally recognized artists who teach different artistic philosophies and strategies. A few notable alumni of the League include internationally acclaimed artists Jackson Pollock, Norman Rockwell, Georgia O'Keefe, and Ai Weiwei.
