Cornerstone Theater Company

For over 30 years, Cornerstone Theater Company has commissioned more than 100 award-winning playwrights and produced over 150 new plays for the American Theater. Through collaboration with professional artists and new voices, the company translates the stories, concerns, and issues of a given community and produces fully-staged productions in various spaces around Los Angeles neighborhoods and nationwide. The company strives to reach audiences that are not typical theatergoers. They also operate an institute with educational programming that includes a summer residency, a two-day intensive course, and a semester-long traveling program.
