Founded in 1985, Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) now serves over 600 teens pursuing a first-rate high school arts education, from all over Los Angeles County. LACHSA offers five academic disciplines: Dance, Music, Cinematic Arts, Visual Arts, and Theatre. Students are required to audition for admission to one of these departments. Through this partnership between the County of Los Angeles and California State University, Los Angeles, students have access to innovative programs which prepare them for future success in the next phase of their academic and/or artistic careers.
