Career Training for Palestinian and Israeli Students

Peace by Tourism

Peace by Tourism, Inc. sends Palestinian and Israeli trainees to the world-famous Institute Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France for a three-year BA program to learn the business of hotels and restaurants. Coursework is both practical and theoretical, touching on everything from French cuisine preparation and banquet management to marketing and food technology.

Studying and living side by side, the Israeli and Palestinian trainees work together toward their shared goals. After completing their final projects, such as bringing a restaurant menu to fruition and catering their own graduation ceremony, students leave Institute Paul Bocuse ready to implement their training on a professional level. The program provides assistance with securing placement at gourmet restaurants throughout Europe, further refining the graduates' skills in real-world settings.

Finally, program graduates return to the Middle East and transition to the next phase in their involvement with Peace by Tourism by working in Leola de la Paix, a cooking and hospitality school with the primary mission of promoting peace in the Middle East.
