Stewarding Spirituality and Public Service

Pepperdine University

Pepperdine University is committed to academic excellence and the promotion of Christian values that help prepare students for lives of purpose, service, and leadership. Founded by entrepreneur George Pepperdine in 1937, the university was originally located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. In the following decades, the university's enrollment and offerings expanded, necessitating the creation of its current Malibu campus. Today, the university offers 73 programs across five graduate and undergraduate schools, and is recognized for its comprehensive degree programs, award-winning athletics and of course, a stunning oceanside Malibu campus. Outside the classroom, Pepperdine University encourages students to cultivate professional and interpersonal skills in real-life settings; more than 84% of students take advantage of student employment, teaching, and internships.
