Bringing the Best of the Arts to Wider Audiences

Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts is a state-of-the-art performing arts center in Beverly Hills, named after legendary philanthropist and Annenberg Foundation president, chairman, and CEO Wallis Annenberg. From 1933 to 1998, this space housed the Beverly Hills Post Office, which was constructed through the Work Projects Administration during the Great Depression. Following the closing of the Beverly Hills Post Office, Wallis worked for more than a decade to preserve the historic location with a vision of transforming it into a world-class performing arts center. The mission of the Wallis is to bridge the gap between audiences and world-class performances, and to use art as a vehicle for understanding complex social issues.
