Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships

The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme offers extraordinary students from developing nations the opportunity to study at the University of Oxford to receive graduate degrees, gain critical experience, and emerge as leaders in their fields.

Leaving Behind a Legacy of Learning

Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships

Formerly known as the Weidenfeld Scholars and run by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, the program was founded by Lord George Weidenfeld, a distinguished publisher and philanthropist whose work was admired around the globe. In 2015, André Hoffmann joined the Weidenfeld Scholars to form the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust at the University of Oxford, in honor of Lord Weidenfeld's 95th Birthday. Today, it still operates with the same honor and commitment to the late Lord Weidenfeld, who passed in 2016. The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust works tirelessly to expand educational opportunities globally, predominantly through scholarships and comprehensive leadership programs for promising students.
