Musée Rodin

At the behest of Auguste Rodin, Musée Rodin was created in 1919 to house his artwork, library, letters, and manuscripts. The collection includes such seminal sculptures as The Thinker, The Kiss, and The Gates of Hell, along with paintings by Vincent van Gogh, Claude Monet, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The museum's library, which contains more than 25,000 documents, provides a rare opportunity to study the life of Rodin and his contemporaries.

For the last 20 years of his life, Rodin lived in the Paris suburb of Meudon, where an annex to the museum is located. Here, guests can discover the studio and the residence where Rodin lived and worked, and they can visit his tomb in the idyllic park surrounding the house.
