Storm King Art Center

The 500-acre outdoor museum in New York's Hudson Valley allows visitors to experience large-scale sculpture and site-specific commissions from artists' most ambitious works.

Presenting Art under an Open Sky

Storm King Art Center

Since its founding in 1960 by manufacturing company owners Ralph E. Ogden and H. Peter Stern, the Storm King Art Center provides an outdoor cultural experience in which nature, art, and people can convene. Here, artists are able to showcase their most ambitious works and programs while visitors explore these oversize creations in dramatic landscapes — farmed fields, natural woodlands, lawns, native grasses, wetlands, and water — either by foot or bicycle. Continuously changing exhibitions, programming, and seasons offer bold, new discoveries in contemporary art with every visit.
