Providing Comprehensive Services That Promote Child Wellness

Children's Bureau of Southern California

Children's Bureau of Southern California was established in 1904 by a small but committed group of community leaders and volunteers. Today, Children's Bureau is a renowned leader in child wellness, reaching nearly 50,000 children and parents each year through 450 staff members. The organization offers services in greater Los Angeles, Long Beach, Santa Clarita, Antelope Valley, San Gabriel Valley, and throughout Orange County. These services include prevention, mental health, and foster care and adoption programs for children and families, as well as professional resources for individuals and other organizations supporting at-risk children and families.

Further, Children's Bureau of Southern California is involved with place-based, community initiatives designed to strengthen the systems and institutions that surround at-risk children and families. These interconnected approaches engage the child, family, and community as a whole in building strong, sustainable solutions to child abuse, neglect, and their root causes.
