Covenant House

Covenant House works with homeless, runaway, and trafficked youth across six countries to provide them with shelter and resources, while simultaneously striving to combat the issues that contribute to high rates of homelessness.

Opening Doors from the Streets to Safety

Covenant House

Covenant House has served over 1 million young people through its comprehensive and innovative strategies to combat homelessness. Its programming includes Street Outreach, Intermediate Care, and Rights of Passage, which respectively provide direct outreach to homeless youth unable to access resources independently, short-term housing and crisis management, and assistance with the transition to long-term, more independent living. Covenant House's education and prevention programming centers on issues such as healthcare, juvenile justice, and a living wage—factors that can contribute to rising homelessness in communities where such services are lacking. Additionally, each year, cities across the country host Sleep Out events where thousands of families, community organizations, and individual volunteers spend the night outside to raise awareness and lifesaving funds for homeless youth.
