GRoW supported international disaster relief efforts led by the International Medical Corps (IMC) in the Caribbean after Hurricanes Irma and Maria struck in 2017 and caused widespread damage. IMC provided relief across the region in the form of medical supplies, medication, hygeine kits, and psychosocial services. The organization also responded to cholera outbreaks in Haiti with mobile medical clinics, following the devastating rainfall that deluged the island during Hurricane Irma.
GRoW provided additional international support for recovery and relief efforts in Mexico, following two deadly earthquakes in 2017 that occurred only 12 days apart. IMC partnered with local relief organizations to assess the most urgent unmet needs, which included essential services such as water, sanitation, health care, and mental health support.
