The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is one of the world's leading organizations addressing multiple sclerosis, which afflicts 2.3 million people across the globe. in order to achieve its mission of finding a cure for MS, the organization follows a strategic plan that incorporates expanding funding for research, improving access to healthcare and resources for patients through advocacy, connecting patients and families with one another, and increasing public knowledge about the disease. This interdisciplinary approach is supported by dozens of chapters across the United States staffed by thousands of volunteers.
