Tia's Hope was founded in honor of Tia Palermo, who passed away in 2012 after struggling with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Following her death, Tia's husband and four daughters established Tia's Hope to fulfill her vision that there should be special moments for children forced to spend their youth inside hospital walls. In seven partner hospitals in Los Angeles, Louisiana, Nevada, New York, and Texas, the organization stages Memory Moments, which are unique, memorable experiences that will serve as a source of hope and joy for sick children and families experiencing challenging circumstances. Additionally, Tia's Hope organizes larger-scale special events at partner hospitals, including sporting events and charity walks. Through the organization's work, Tia Palermo's family channels her spirit as a woman of action who strongly believed in the importance of childhood joy for all youth, especially those suffering greatly.
