A Vision for a Brighter Future

Vision to Learn

Vision To Learn recognizes the critical role eye care plays in allowing children to flourish at school. It also recognizes that equitable eye care is often inaccessible in the country's most underserved communities. To address this problem, Vision To Learn has partnered with more than 260 cities across the United States to provide kindergarten through 12th grade students with comprehensive eye care services, including vision screenings, eye exams, and eyeglasses. Since its founding in Los Angeles in 2012, Vision To Learn has helped nearly 150,000 children who would have otherwise struggled to access these critical vision resources. In 2013, Vision To Learn was studied by the Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA, which concluded that having access to glasses overwhelmingly allows students to become better engaged in the classroom and improves quality of life at home for families. By providing students everywhere with the eye care resources they need and deserve, Vision To Learn significantly improves academic, personal, and, eventually, professional outcomes for some of the nation's most vulnerable children.
