Amplifying the Voices of Angelenos

Los Angeles Master Chorale

A founding resident company of the Music Center and choir-in-residence at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Los Angeles Master Chorale was established in 1964 by conductor Roger Wagner. Today, the ensemble is one the country's leading professional choirs and one of Southern California's most vibrant musical treasures.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale has performed more than 500 concerts at the Hollywood Bowl and Walt Disney Concert Hall with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The two groups also have toured together across the United States and Europe. The ensemble is committed to community engagement and music educational programming including the High School Choir Festival and Big Sing California. Other programming, such as Voices Within, encourage students to engage with in-school songwriting and performances. Through this work, the Los Angeles Master Chorale seeks to represent the many diverse voices and identities of Los Angeles while inviting all to participate in the joy of choral music.
