"Bringing Higher Caliber Music to the High Mountains"

Strings Music Festival

Strings Music Festival was established in 1988 to provide the Northwest Colorado community of Steamboat Springs and the surrounding three rural counties with high-quality music programming. As its name suggests, the organization hosts an annual summer festival featuring nationally acclaimed classical and contemporary musicians across wide-spanning genres. The festival is hosted in the 569-seat state-of-the-art Strings Music Pavilion. Strings Music Festival also offers year-round music performances with renowned artists and community programming, the latter free of charge, for families, seniors, adults, and students. Beyond the Festival, the organization serves the community with a variety of free programming including an in-school education program called Strings School Days. This offering cultivates music and art appreciation, understanding of world cultures, and youth development and academic abilities for more than 3,000 Northwest Colorado K-12 students.
