Since its establishment at USC in 2000, The Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy has championed research and analysis as key tools in evaluating the complex issues in philanthropy and the challenges faced by the field. The Center was founded to pursue a central vision: to become the United States' premiere resource for impactful giving and meaningful changemaking. The knowledge gained by the Center's innovative research and convening leaders guides philanthropic decision-makers on how to most effectively drive the sector forward in addressing complex issues such as poverty, gender parity, and persistent systemic racism. The Center also seeks to catalyze partnerships across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and to build relationships between community leaders and policymakers at the grassroots level.
The University of Southern California is one of the world's leading private research universities. An anchor institution in Los Angeles and a global center for arts, technology and international business, USC's diverse curriculum provide extensive opportunities for interdisciplinary study and collaboration with leading researchers in highly advanced learning environments.
