Bolstering Binational Collaboration in Border Communities

U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership

The U.S.-Mexico Border Philanthropy Partnership (BPP) was established in 2008 to fill a gaping need in approaching the issues along and across the border; BPP is the only nonprofit organization specifically promoting philanthropy across this region. BPP works predominantly in border states, including in the United States: California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas; and, in Mexico: Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas. The organization supports a network of community-based groups already working in these border communities to address complex issues surrounding equity, prosperity, and opportunity. BPP promotes collaborative leadership between these organizations, as well as impactful philanthropy, in pursuit of its vision for a transnational region of thriving, civically engaged communities.
