Orchestrating Internationally Renowned Performances

Orchestre de la Suisse Romande

Orchestre de la Suisse Romande (OSR) was established in Geneva, Switzerland in 1918. More than a century later, OSR is an internationally recognized orchestra that performs across the globe. Since its beginning, OSR has maintained a close partnership with Swiss broadcasting company Schweizer Radio und Fernsehen (Swiss Radio and Television), enabling the performances to be broadcast across the globe for millions to hear. Today, OSR's repertoire includes a constantly growing array of prize-winning recordings produced with a dozen international labels, as well as concert tours in some of the world's most renowned concert halls. Further, OSR performs extensively in Switzerland for audiences in Geneva and Lausanne, accompanies operatic performances at the Grand Théâtre of Geneva, and participates in the annual United Nations concert. Beyond these domestic and international performances, the orchestra hosts concerts for children and families, leads in-class educational activities, and offers interactive digital educational resources for people of all ages to foster musical curiosity and exploration.
