Designing Integrated and Innovated Treatment Initiatives

Prototypes

Prototypes was founded in 1986 to offer gender-responsive treatment that addressed co-occurring conditions and underlying trauma. Since its establishment, Prototypes has expanded rapidly both geographically and programmatically, opening centers across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties and offering HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services, transitional and permanent housing, and detoxification programs. In 2000, Prototypes began to provide specialized services to men in response to community need levels. In this way, the organization is dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based, and affordable responsive care. Today, Prototypes is one of the United States' leading integrated social service providers and as a "prototype" for similar organizations across the country.
