Boys and Girls Village (BGV) was founded in 1942 as Boys Village in New Haven, Connecticut. Today, the organization is one of the state's leading service providers for at-promise youth and their families. BGV is committed to providing services that are personalized, strength-based, and culturally sensitive. This includes K-12 educational programs, vocational training to help youth transition to adulthood, and behavioral health treatment programs. Additionally, BGV's permanency planning services assist with foster and kinship care, as well as family preservation and reunification. BGV's programs also provide support for underserved youth in the arena of juvenile justice. Through these diverse evidence-based services, BGV has supported thousands of families and touched countless lives.
