Boys and Girls Village (BGV) was founded in 1942 as Boy's Village in New Haven, Connecticut. Today, the organization is one of the state's leading service providers for at-risk youth and their families. BGV is committed to providing services that are personalized, strength-based, and culturally sensitive. This includes educational programs for kindergarten through 12th-grade students, vocational training to help youth transition to adulthood, and behavioral health treatment programs. Additionally, BGV's permanency planning services assist with foster and kinship care, as well as family preservation and reunification. BGV's newest programs provide support for underserved youth in the arena of juvenile justice. Through these diverse evidence-based services, BGV has supported thousands of families and touched countless lives over the last eight decades.
