Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) was founded in 1971 to expand access to high-quality healthcare for patients of all backgrounds. In the decades since the 1970s, NEVHC has grown from three individual sites to a major provider of comprehensive health services. Today, the organization operates 17 health centers in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys, as well as dental centers, pharmacies, and school-based health centers. NEVHC also provides services related to women's health and pediatric care and serves more than 22,000 people experiencing homelessness each year. In addition to direct healthcare services, the organization offers educational programs about health, substance abuse, and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program.
When the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in 2020, NEVHC became a central testing and care provider. In late 2020, NEVHC began distributing COVID-19 vaccines to their patients first and then to residents of the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys – two low-income communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.
