Founded in the U.S. in 1951 through grassroots action, the Nature Conservancy (TNC) has blossomed into one of the most effective and wide-reaching environmental organizations in the world. Through the strength and work of its 1 million members, diverse staff, and more than 400 scientists, TNC has effected change in 75 countries and territories — 37 by direct conservation impact and 38 through partners.
