Founded on the principle of connecting French and American culture, FACE Foundation is a leading organization in cultural diplomacy. In partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, FACE Foundation promotes artistic, literary, and educational exchange and collaboration between creative professionals from both countries and beyond.
FACE Foundation administers grant programs in the performing and visual arts, cinema, translation, and secondary and higher education while providing financial sponsorship to French-American festivals and other cultural initiatives. The Foundation focuses on new and recent work of living artists as well as the promotion of bilingualism and the French language. Today, the foundation has two chapters in Chicago and Los Angeles, in addition to programs and resources in other major cities.
GRoW is honored to support FACE Foundation's latest programmatic endeavor called Villa Albertine. Villa Albertine promotes dialogue between France and the U.S. through artist-in-residence programs in 10 cities across the country, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
