Providing Patients with Personalized Health Care

Kent Hospital

Chartered by the state of Rhode Island in 1946, Kent Hospital opened in 1951 with only 90 beds. That same year, a group of 35 women founded the Hospital Auxiliary, which materialized as the hospital's leading supporter and one of its most essential fundraising entities. Over the years, Kent Hospital has expanded several times to meet the growing needs of the surrounding community. As the second largest single-site hospital in the state, the 359-bed Kent Hospital represents more than 30 specialty areas and includes more than 2,300 nurses, technical professionals, and support staff.
