Met Opera Presents New Season of Saturday Matinee Broadcasts

A longtime supporter of the Met Opera, GRoW is offering to match all new or increased donations (up to $500,000) that are designated to the Support the Met Broadcasts Campaign. Donors will be contributing to not just a worthy cause, but a historic one: Since its debut in 1931, Saturday Matinee Broadcasts has expanded access to opera to millions across the globe – and it stands today as the longest-running classical music program in American radio history. Each Saturday between December and May as part of Saturday Matinee Broadcasts, the Met Opera transmits its live performances while offering commentary prior to the show and during the intermission.
