Opening March 18: Violins of Hope at Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust

On March 18, Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust will open its latest exhibition: Violins of Hope, an exhibition that uses violins to educate about the Holocaust and celebrate the triumph of the human spirit and the power of music.

The collection of instruments includes a violin that was played in the Auschwitz orchestra and another on the Kindertransport, an organized rescue effort which saved 10,000 child refugees who fled Nazi persecution. Violins of Hope will remain on display at the Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust through April 19.
