LA Opera Announces Winners of 4th Annual GRoW @ Annenberg Poster Contest

LA Opera announced the winners of this year's GRoW @ Annenberg Poster Contest, a contest designed for students attending Southern California colleges and universities to submit original artwork to be highlighted at an LA Opera production.   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the designated opera,  The Marriage of Figaro, was postponed, however, the Poster Contest continued with a virtual ceremony on June 8 that included the LA Opera Board of Directors and Opera Staff, as well as Regina Weingarten, an LA Opera Executive Committee Board Member, and Gregory Weingarten, who announced the winners. 

The winners are as follows: in first place, Ash Coughlin from California State University, Fullerton; in second place, Mona Saii from California Lutheran University; and in third place, Juliann Hong from California State University, Northridge. Each winner will receive cash prizes and also recieved personal invitations from LA Opera President and CEO Christopher Koelsch to attend an opera with their families as guests of the opera once the season opens.
