May 21: Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra & Bryan Stevenson: Collaboration for Justice and Hope

On May 21, 2021, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, led by legendary trumpeter and artistic director Wynton Marsalis, will host a creative collaboration with Equal Justice Initiative founder and social justice activist Bryan Stevenson, featuring select musical performances celebrating jazz and the overarching theme of freedom.

Jazz at Lincoln Center, the largest performing arts organization in the world dedicated to jazz, will premiere its spring 2021 virtual concert season with performances from emerging musical artists that highlight themes of freedom, justice, and hope. This year will feature a collaboration between Wynton Marsalis and Bryan Stevenson, who will appear as a guest performer with the artists. The collaboration is a follow-up to the virtual conversation that took place on May 19, 2020, in which Mr. Marsalis and Mr. Stevenson discussed the historical significance and the value of art in history. GRoW was honored to support that initial 2020 conversation between Mr. Marsalis and Mr. Stevenson, as well as this year's 2021 collaboration.
