Los Angeles Philharmonic Hosts Free Concerts for Front-Line Workers

The Los Angeles Philharmonic (LA Phil) announced that it will kick off its 2021 season with four free outdoor concerts at the Hollywood Bowl for healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers as a gesture of thanks for their commitment and dedication to the Los Angeles community throughout the pandemic.

On May 15 and 22, the free concert series will feature performances from the LA Philharmonic orchestra, conducted by Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. The June 12 concert, sponsored by Gregory Annenberg Weingarten and GRoW @ Annenberg, will feature LA artists Thundercat and Flying Lotus, for Thundercat's first performance since winning a Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album earlier this year. Lastly, Grammy-winning and LA-based band La Santa Cecilia will perform on June 26. GRoW @ Annenberg previously supported the Power to the People Concert Series through the LA Phil and is thrilled to support one of the free concerts in honor of the tireless work of the Los Angeles community's frontline workers.
