Los Angeles Philharmonic Hosts Free Concerts for Front-Line Workers

LA Phil will begin its 2021 season with four free outdoor concerts at the Hollywood Bowl for first responders, health care employees, and essential workers as a gesture of gratitude for their commitment and dedication to the city throughout the pandemic.

The concert series kicks off May 15 and May 22 with performances by the LA Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel. The June 12 concert — which is sponsored by GRoW and its founder, Gregory Annenberg Weingarten — will feature L.A. artists Thundercat and Flying Lotus, marking Thundercat's first performance since he claimed a Grammy for Best Progressive R&B Album earlier this year. The series wraps up June 26 with Grammy-winning, L.A.-based quartet La Santa Cecilia. GRoW, which previously supported the Power to the People! festival through the LA Phil, is delighted to sponsor one of the free concerts in honor of the tireless work of the community's front-line workers.
