GRoW Continues Vaccination Support for Essential Community Health Clinics

As the COVID-19 Delta variant continues to spread throughout Los Angeles County, GRoW supports another round of vaccine distribution efforts in the Northeast Valley of Los Angeles, one of the communities hardest hit by the pandemic.

When the COVID-19 pandemic emerged in 2020, the Northeast Valley Health Corporation, aka NEVHC, became a central testing and care provider in the Northeast Valley community of Los Angeles. In late 2020, NEVHC began distributing COVID-19 vaccines to their patients first and then to residents of the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys – two communities disproportionately affected by the pandemic.  In early 2021, NEVHC began vaccination efforts at some of their sites and at their mobile clinics.  Additionally they partnered with local and county officials to create bilingual advertising campaigns focused on dispelling myths about the COVID-19 vaccine and encouraged those who are vaccine-hesitant to begin conversations with their medical providers.

Today, they expanded their vaccination and testing services across its 17 sites for patients and community members alike, while simultaneously hosting community events such as a back-to-school vaccination drive.

As a trusted community health partner and provider, NEVHC plays a critical role for the health and wellness of so many in our county.
