Give Blck Seeks to Advance Racial Equity in Philanthropic Giving

Give Blck exists to advance racial equity in philanthropic giving and mobilize positive action for Black lives by connecting people to causes they care about.
Give Blck was founded by seasoned philanthropists who recognized the giving inequities in the non-profit sector and wished to address how funders can better promote and enrich Black causes.

The GiveBlck online database was founded in the wake of George Floyd's murder for those individuals wanting to support Black-serving organizations.  The database provides a tool for philanthropists, foundations, investment firms, and any donor to identify and connect with Black-founded and Black-led non-profit organizations in need of support.

As a sign of their growth and expanded reach, the organization recently announced the appointment of its first CEO, Aisha Alexander-Young. Ms. Alexander-Young has deep roots advocating for responsive and transformative investments in Black communities. She will further develop Give Blck's brand identity and partnerships to strengthen the connection between donors and Black-founded organizations. Give Blck's co-founder, Christina Lewis, said, "Aisha will be an incredible champion of Give Blck's mission and will help lead our growing organization to create longstanding systemic change for communities that need it most."
