Conducted by LA Opera music director James Conlon with choreography, staging, and design by Hamburg Ballet artistic director John Neumeier, the LA Opera's performance of St. Matthew Passion from March 12 to March 27 combines the best of music, dance, and art while featuring dancers from the Hamburg Ballet

Composed in 1727 by Johann Sebastian Bach, St. Matthew Passion is considered one of the most famous and enthralling sacred oratorios. Bach's telling story of the last days of the life of Jesus Christ and his impending crucifixion is regarded by scholars as a masterpiece of Western sacred music. GRoW is honored to support LA Opera in its production of St. Matthew Passion. Tickets are on sale now on the LA Opera website.
