LA Rams Honor East Side Riders Bike Club as Community Hero

Longtime GRoW grantee East Side Riders Bike Club (ESRBC) — led by founder John Jones III — was recently recognized by the NFL franchise and the Wallace Firm for Jones' meaningful work with South L.A. youth.

Surrounded by family, friends, and members of ESRBC, John Jones III was presented with the WallaceWins.com Heart & Hustle Award, which included two VIP tickets to the Super Bowl Game on February 13, a custom Rams jersey, and, most meaningfully, a donation to ESRBC. With the award, the East Side Riders Bike Club was recognized as the committed community partner that it has become in the South L.A. communities of Watts and Compton. ESRBC's mission continues to expand as the organization transforms the lives of young adults and keep them away from gang activity by promoting community service and bike programs.

The Heart & Hustle Award is one of several honors recently given to the East Side Riders Bike Club. In June 2021, the organization received the Los Angeles Super Bowl Host Committee's Champions Live Here grant, which recognizes the impactful work of unsung heroes in their respective communities. In addition, Jones and his father made a January appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, where he again was celebrated for his outstanding community service. Check out the interview, conducted by guest host Jay Leno, here.
