Historic Performance by Paris Opera Ballet and LA Phil Receives Rave Review

Gustavo Dudamel is the longtime Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In 2021, he also was appointed Music Director of the Paris Opera. One year later, he decided to unite two of the world's leading arts institutions — the LA Phil and the Paris Opera Ballet — for two spectacular evenings of dance at the Hollywood Bowl.

The July 20-21 performances received a rave review from L.A. Times art critic Mark Swed. With Dudamel and the LA Phil setting the scene, 30 dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet, including its world-renowned "Etoiles, made their Bowl debuts in an evening of highlights from extraordinary ballets from the core classical canon. World-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet was the guest pianist for the program. GRoW is thrilled to have supported this historic collaboration.
