Historic Performance by Paris Opera Ballet and LA Philharmonic Receives Rave Reviews

In July 2022, Gustavo Dudamel, who was appointed Music Director of Paris Opera in 2021 and celebrated his fourteenth year as Music & Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, united two of the world's leading arts institutions - the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Paris Opera Ballet - for two spectacular evenings of dance, as could only be realized at the Hollywood Bowl.

The performances receieved rave reviews from L.A. Times art critic Mark Swed. With Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic setting the scene, 30 dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet, including the world-renowned "Etoiles" of the company, made their Bowl debuts in an evening of highlights from extraordinary ballets from the core classical canon. World renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet was the guest pianist for the program. GRoW @ Annenberg is thrilled to have supported this historic collaboration.
