Historic Performance by Paris Opera Ballet and LA Phil Receives Rave Review

After longtime Los Angeles Philharmonic music director Gustavo Dudamel was appointed to the same role at the Paris Opera, he decided to unite two leading arts institutions for two spectacular evenings at the Hollywood Bowl.

The July 20-21 performances received high praise from Los Angeles Times art critic Mark Swed. With Gustavo Dudamel and the LA Phil setting the scene, 30 dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet, including its world-renowned Etoiles, made their Hollywood Bowl debuts in a night of highlights from extraordinary ballets in the core classical canon. Jean-Yves Thibaudet was the guest pianist for the program. GRoW was honored to support this historic collaboration.
