On Friday, November 11, 2022, Veterans Day, the National Museum of the American Indian formally dedicated the National Native American Veterans Memorial, which opened on November 11, 2020. The event included a procession of Native veterans along the National Mall from the museum to the ceremony stage in front of the US Capitol. Festivities continued at the museum for the entire weekend.

In partnership with Native peoples and their allies, the National Museum of the American Indian fosters a richer shared human experience through a more informed understanding of Native peoples. The museum endeavors to collaborate, consult, and cooperate with Indigenous people and communities as a means to center their perspectives, knowledge, and experiences in its exhibitions, collections documentation, programs, and projects.

GRoW @ Annenberg is honored to support this weekend honoring Native American veterans.
