The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme offers extraordinary students from developing nations the opportunity to study at the University of Oxford to receive graduate degrees, gain critical experience, and emerge as leaders in their fields.
Leaving Behind a Legacy of Learning
Formerly known as the Weidenfeld Scholars and run by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, the program was founded by Lord George Weidenfeld, a distinguished publisher and philanthropist whose work was admired around the globe. In 2015, the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust was established to mark the occasion of Lord Weidenfeld’s 95th Birthday. Today, the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme is joined by André Hoffmann, a long-standing supporter of the program who still operates with the same honor and commitment to the late Lord Weidenfeld, who passed in 2016. The Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust works tirelessly to expand educational opportunities globally, predominantly through scholarships and comprehensive leadership programs for promising students.
