Established in 1967, the Center Theatre Group (CTG) organization is today comprised of three theaters: the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum, and the Kirk Douglas Theatre. It was founded based on the belief that the theater has the power to broaden horizons and illuminate new perspectives. Since then, CTG has consistently pursued its mission to produce and present high caliber theater by nurturing new artists, serving diverse audiences, attracting new audiences, and developing youth outreach and education programs. Center Theatre Group's Education & Community programs support artists at all points of their career, engage audience members before and after the show, and encourage the community to make theater a part of their everyday lives.
