Youth Program Internships in Santa Monica Mountains Culminates with Graduation Ceremony

On August 15, 2019, the Santa Monica (SAMO) Mountains Fund and National Park Foundation will host its annual graduation ceremony. The ceremony will honor this year's participants: a group of high school and soon-to-be college students who have dedicated their summers to working outdoors. 

The SAMO Youth Program offers Los Angeles and Oxnard high school students a full-time, paid, hands-on internship for two consecutive summers. Through the program, students are exposed to the National Park Service and prepare for future careers in the fields of conservation and preservation.
